Microwave poached pears (1 serving)

Beside its good taste, this is also good for sore throats, this recipe is very easy and quick to prepare. Let see how to cook this.

Ingredients you need:

• 1 Asian pear
• 2 tbsp honey
• 2 tbsp nuts/seeds of choice
• ¼ spoon cinnamon
• Pinch of nutmeg

Method:

• Wash, Peel and while removing the core cut pears in half.
• Keep 1 tbsp of nuts/seeds (available with you) into each half piece.
• Now drizzle about a tablespoon of honey on each pear make sure to cover entire piece with honey.
• Sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg on top.
• Microwave this for around 5 minutes. Check for tenderness, if required microwave for one more minute.
• Serve hot!

Cucumber and Nashi Salad (2-3 serving)

Ingredients you need:

• 2 cucumbers
• 1  large Asian/nashi pear
• 1 tsp salt
• 1/2 light soy sauce
• 6 tbsp rice vinegar
• 1/3 diced chili peppers
• 1 tbsp honey

Method:

• Cut cucumbers in into medium size chunks (scoop out seeds).
• Peal the pear and cut into chunks bit smaller to cucumber chunks.
• Take a bowl and add both chunks and mix with light hands while adding ½ t tsp of salt.
• In another small bowl, add salt, soy sauce, vinegar, honey, and chilies.
• Add this dressing into chunks bowl and fold with soft hands, make sure all chunks get covered with dressings. 
• Cover with lid and let it sit over night.

Asian Pear Yogurt Tart (6 serving)

Asian pear and yogurt can be teamed up to give a treat to your taste buds.

Ingredients you need:

• 1 Asian pear
• 100 grams Yogurt
• 3 tbsp Sugar
• 1 Egg
• 50 grams White flour
• 1 tsp Baking powder
• 1 or Tart (kneaded pie crust) crust

(Note: Use your preferred recipe to prepare the tart crust)

Method

• Wash, Peel and cut the Asian pear into thin slices.
• Sift flour over the tart crust
• In a bowl add sugar and egg and mix well.
• Add the yogurt stir well, now sift in the flour and add baking powder, and mix all ingredients thoroughly.
• Pour this yogurt mixture into the tart crust, and place the pear slices on top.
• Bake in pre heated oven at 180℃ for around 30 minutes.
